Default What are your favorite old school Necro builds?

Mine was something like this one.

My first character was Necromas Darklight, an N/Mo, and I always tried to mix a heal other into my normal builds. They were simpler times, and even though it was pretty energy inefficient compared to a real monk, I lost count of how many times I was able to save people with it.

And then I found blood ritual, and the amazing well of power as my first elite, and came up with a build just like the one I linked. As soon as I got a WoP up in a fight, I felt invincible. It was like an AoE healing breeze that also gave mana regen! The extra health and energy from the well allowed me to cast blood ritual and my blood nukes to my hearts content, and the elementalists and monks in my parties would praise me and even whine that I was overpowered.

The best part about it was that it was a refreshing change of pace to be able to play a support role and do it well, and it encouraged teamwork.

I don't have any favorite old-school builds, I prefer the new-school ones.

I always liked the echo/ss nuke. That and the Goalie, the N/Mo minion master made me a lot of cash from SF and TotPK runs. My MM just cakewalked through Factions with that bar.

There's the old orders too, back when vamp and pain would stack. I hated that one, very boring and you're way in the back not getting squat...

I have to agree on the old [arcane echo][spiteful spirit]. The good ole days of tank and spank in FoW.

Personally, I have always been a Blood Magic junkie. Even today, I prefer playing support with BiP over mainstream Curses builds.

Back in the day, prior to sick Hero team combos (aka, Triple Necro Vanquish. Yes, I love it, too), I usually ran with both Well of Blood and Well of Power and could easily cover the entire party with a 10 pip health regen. Monks loved me Aside from that, I carried some blood spiking spells to take out mobs that were within range but not in line-of-sight (remember that Mursaat fortress with all the Jade Bows lining the wall? They didn't live long ... funny thing that there were no Mursaat monks up there).

While I'm still a firm believer in the power of wells, it is rare that I get to use them anymore as *everyone*, myself included, takes Hero minion bombers into the party.
